Mysterious Four-Legged Animal Caught Wandering Across Man’s Driveway
Is there anything more eerie than spotting something strange and unexplained in grainy CCTV footage?
Yes it turns out there is. For example, when the CCTV footage in question is taken just outside your home, a running jump away from where you and your loved ones sleep.
This is the creepy occurrence experienced by a man from Australia, who was seriously shocked after checking CCTV footage of his driveway.
A very strange creature indeed could be seen crossing directly in front of the camera, and this definitely wasn’t just a particularly leggy badger…
Standing on four legs, the unusual critter had a dog-like body and a very long, thick tail which trailed on the ground.
Now, Australia is chock-a-block full of weird and wonderful animals; all slithering and hopping and crawling throughout the land.
But this Aussie fella was at a loss to explain away who and what his night time visitor could be, the Daily Mail Australia reports.

The perplexed homeowner turned to Imgur uploading an screenshot of the bizarre beast and asking other users, ‘What is this in my driveway?’
What indeed. Users were equally as surprised at the sight of the creature, and had some very interesting suggestions as to what it could be.
Some people believed they were looking at a thylacine; an animal which is more commonly referred to as a Tasmanian Tiger.
The last thylacine is believed to have died way back in 1936, which would make this a very freakish sighting indeed.
Despite this carnivorous marsupial having been declared extinct for over eighty years; there have been a reported 3,800 sightings in mainland Australia since they were classified extinct, according to The Australian Rare Fauna Research Association.
According to the association, the thylacine is recognisable through the following distinguishing characteristics:
Stripes across the rump and upper tail (in most individuals)
The thickness of the tail at the rump
The low hock (heel)
Size: comparable with fox to large German Shepherd, depending on age and sex.
Colour: sandy to dark brown with darker stripes.
Gait: unusual, slow and clumsy to very fast, sometimes bounding or sitting up.
Some users had some even more ‘out there’ theories as to what this night stroller could be.
Some even believed it could be a chupacabra, a mythological creature which originated in nineties Latin American folklore, with a string of alleged attacks back in 1995.
According to legend, the animal is known to drink the blood from livestock, such as goats, in a rather vampiric manner. The name chupacabra itself is Spanish for ‘goat sucker.’
Back in December 1995, Angela Lajes from Ponce told The LA Times how her dog and her sister’s two cats had been drained by the beast:
It sucked out the animals’ blood and took out their guts and ate them.
A report at the time by San Juan Star gave the following chilling description of the predator:
[It has a ]reptilian body, oval head, bulging red eyes, fanged teeth and long, darting tongue.
What do you think was crossing the man’s driveway on that dark night?
