Alberta Man Facing Dozens Of Sex And Weapons Charges, Including Incest

One thing that the average person can be sure of is that the depth of human depravity knows no bounds. That terrifying truth is never more obvious than when the demented proclivities of a madman are acted out upon young, innocent children.

That was the case in Canada when this 41-year-old man’s litany of criminal acts stunned the nation…

10. An Unthinkable Number Of Assaults

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), an unnamed Alberta man has been hit with 23 sex charges for forced abuse visited upon his three daughters and at least one other minor. His identity is being withheld from the public to protect his victims.

Among those sex crimes are incest, procurement of a child for sex, and 17 weapons charges.

9. Hardened Investigators Were Nauseated

Global News

“These are three girls that faced regular and prolonged abuse at the hands of their father; acts of evil that were incomprehensible to our most hardened investigators,” said an inspector.

From every perspective, both the RCMP and Canada’s Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s (ALERT) internet child exploitation unit spoke vocally about how gut-wrenching the girls’ case has been.

8. The Length Of The Abuse Was Stunning

Global News

One of the most shocking facts of the case is the sheer amount of time the anonymous man’s three children were held captive. Edmonton police Staff Sgt. Stephen Camp explained that the children were repeatedly abused over the course of six excruciating years.

During that time, each of the girls was under the age of 18.

7. Kept Out Of The World For Six Long Years

Global News

While the young women were in their father’s care, they were allowed minimal contact with the outside world. Not only were the poor young girls homeschooled, but police explained that the family home was built to be more like a compound.

These factors conspired to psychologically imprison the three young women for the better part of a decade.

6. The Family Home Was Like A ‘Compound’

Global News

Even without the nightmares being unleashed by the girl’s unbalanced father, the home he had created around them was forbidding in its own right. When the police rushed into the compound, they discovered 40 restricted weapons including a machine gun.

Sadly, the three young women were not the only people living under the unnamed man’s tyranny.

5. The Young Girls Were Not The Only Family Members

In addition to his three primary victims, the unnamed Alberta man also had two boys and a wife. At the moment, the police don’t appear to believe that the man’s spouse had anything to do with the atrocities visited upon his family. They have classified her as a victim and stated that she was unaware that her husband was doing anything wrong.

Meanwhile, the police have gathered a long list of evidence proving that her husband was truly monstrous…

4. The Man Videotaped His Abuse

Global News

According to ALERT, several pictures and various forms of data concerning the young girls had been posted online. The organization’s internet child exploitation unit is currently working with Canadian Centre for Child Protection in the hopes of scrubbing the images off the internet.

This is possible thanks to a state-of-the-art program known as Project Arachnid. Sadly, online images weren’t the worst of the man’s offenses…

3. At Least One Of His Daughters Was Loaned Out To Strangers

Edmonton Journal

The authorities have levied several serious crimes against the man, but one of his principle offenses was allowing one of his children to be victimized by a series of strangers. These terrible repeated offenses have earned the man charges for human trafficking and arranging a sexual offense against a child.

2. The Man Wrought Terror On His Family For Years

Global News

In addition to the terrible crimes mentioned above, this man has also been charged with sexual assault with a deadly weapon among other awful crimes. The police who tracked down the man through a series of secondhand tips called the facts of the case “surreal.”

Edmonton police Staff Sgt. Stephen Camp said the case was one he would never forget.

1. Ongoing Torment For Family Members

Edmonton Journal

Acting Inspector Pamela Robinson of the RCMP was very frank about the situation:

“The arrest may have stopped the abuse, she said, adding “But this family’s nightmare continues.” Considering the long term effect of this man’s horrific actions, the inspector’s words couldn’t be truer. This is one crime that will haunt his family for months and years to come.
